Monika believes that executive searches need to go beyond resumes and interviews.

With over two decades of experience as a talent advisor, Monika has developed the process of making connections between clients and candidates into an artform. Monika believes that it is difficult to catch the key qualities of a candidate without the trained eye of an executive search expert, particularly while evaluating the attributes of a potential leader. Monika’s strong suit is to helm leadership searches backed by solid evaluation frameworks and data. The talent mapping process demands a high degree of preparation before every assignment.

Monika is no stranger to the struggles of a Hiring Manager. She has been a client before, while she was heading leadership hiring for Cisco across all business units: Engineering, Sales and Services. Monika was responsible for putting together guideline processes for Cisco’s talent strategy, demand planning and business engagement. This gives her an edge when it comes to balancing the dynamics of the internal hiring process within big conglomerates with the rigour that a thorough executive search demands.

Prior to Cisco, Monika guided the global technology practice at executive search firms such as Heidrick & Struggles and Stanton Chase. She has worked extensively across a wide range of sectors including IT, IT Services, Telecom, Consulting and E-Commerce.

Monika is passionate about offering clients a transformative experience and this is why she co-founded Leadership Mavericks. She believes in a hands-on, bespoke and human approach to executive searching. Therefore, she stands by her clients and candidates every step of the way, helping them navigate the delicate balance of the search process.

Monika has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Lady Sriram College, Delhi University.
